Ninja is one of the most popular and unique Japanese traditional culture known worldwide. We barely see ninja in the center of Tokyo in these days. But you can get dressed in Ninja costumes and try basic practices to get Ninja –like agilities.
The Japanese traditional house where you will take a Ninja lesson was built in 1881. So it still remains the style of Samurai residences.
You can also try costumes of princesses in Edo period (1603-1867) and matcha, Japanese green tea, tea ceremony in an authentic room.

Hand-copying sutra has a long history in Japan. It is originally a way of spreading Buddhist sutra and a Buddhist training but now many people write it down for mental concentration or relaxation.
15:30 See the second tallest statue of Buddha in Japan
The 12 meters tall Great Buddha has been unveiled at Houkouji Temple in Hinode Town, Tokyo. This statue, called Rokuya Daibutsu (大仏：statue of Buddha), is taller than the Great Buddha of Kamakura（鎌倉） and the second tallest Daibutsu in Japan, following the Great Buddha of Nara（奈良).
The former chief priest planned this project about 40 years ago and current chief priest made it come true. The thought that he wants to mourn for victims of The Great East Japan Earthquake drives him finish it up.
He made the facial expression gentle to give people some peace of mind.
16:30 Visit a historic temple with a thatched roof
This historic temple, founded in 1373, is standing in a quiet area with a thatch roofed entrance gate covered with moss. This temple has a great deal of relationships with the Hojyo family(*). In the guest room, there are Buddhist tablets of the family standing in line.
In the precincts of this temple, there are huge Kaya tree (=Japanese torreya 24.5 m) and Tara Yow tree (=Latifolia 19.1 m) designated as a natural monument of Tokyo Metropolis. Also, there are cherry trees and gigantic Ginkgo biloba trees. So you can enjoy the nature of seasons like beautiful views of cherry blossoms in spring, changing leaves in autumn.
(*)One of the leading lords and a pioneer of the Sengoku period (=Warring States Period). "Hojyo family" dominated the wide range of the Kanto region and lived at "Odawara Castle", one of the largest castles of the Warring States Period.
