10:00~ Viewing Satoyama scenic sites while cycling
Our 25km bike tour starts after we arrive at a station in Satoyama area.
SATOYAMA @TOKYO is where people and nature coexist in harmony.
We're going to across several bridges over Tamagawa River and Akikawa River which are two big rivers running through Satoyama area. These rivers are sources of environmental sustainability around here.
You will see beautiful scenery of a stream of the river and a harmony between people and nature while cycling.
10:45 Visting a Sake Brewery
5 sake factories are located in this area because of the fresh and clean water from rivers. All the breweries are founded over 120 years ago and the oldest is established in 1702. 2 buildings are nationally registered tangible cultural properties.
We're going to Ishikawa（石川）sake brewery where you can see many Kura（蔵：storehouses）on their premises. They brew beer too, besides sake called TAMAJIMAN（多満自慢), the name of their brand.
Sake sampling is available to find your favorite one and buy it or two on the spot.
11:30 Restaurant at Sake Brewery
Take a lunch break and regain sufficient strength for the rest of the road trip. Taste seasonal food in a historical storehouse-style restaurant.

13:00 Historic Shrine with long staircase
This shrine is said to be founded in the latter half of the 16th century, and the present main hall was re-built in 1849. In the main hall, some statues of characters from historical events of China are enshrined.
The most remarkable thing of this shrine is 196 steps of staircase. This long journey will get you tired more than cycling will do.

14:30 Visiting a temple to see the second tallest statue of Buddha in Japan
The 12 meters tall Great Buddha has been unveiled at Houkouji Temple in Hinode Town, Tokyo. This statue, called Rokuya Daibutsu (大仏：statue of Buddha), is taller than the Great Buddha of Kamakura（鎌倉） and the second tallest Daibutsu in Japan, following the Great Buddha of Nara（奈良).
The former chief priest planned this project about 40 years ago and current chief priest made it come true. The thought that he wants to mourn for victims of The Great East Japan Earthquake drives him finish it up.
He made the facial expression gentle to give people some peace of mind.
On the way back to the station, there is a spot where spring water from the loamy layer of the Kanto Plain and watercress grow wild.
