“Washi” is Japanese traditional paper which is designated an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Washi paper is tough, long-lasting and it feels really nice.In this workshop surrounded by nature, we can learn how to make washi papers from scratch and make handmade craftwork.There is a field where “kouzo”, a material of washi papers, grown wild and a water well which they pump water from to make washi papers.

16:00 Visit a temple to see the second tallest statue of Buddha in Japan
The 12 meters tall Great Buddha has been unveiled at Houkouji Temple in Hinode Town, Tokyo. This statue, called Rokuya Daibutsu (大仏：statue of Buddha), is taller than the Great Buddha of Kamakura（鎌倉） and the second tallest Daibutsu in Japan, following the Great Buddha of Nara（奈良).

Meets a guide & concludes at 新宿駅 Shinjuku station in central Tokyo at 8:00am & 9:00pm (approx.).
*We take a train to SATOYAMA @TOKYO area from Shinjuku, and make a tour by a chartered vehicle. On the return trip, guide services end after guiding you to a train for Shinjuku station.
If you cancel at least 14 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel between 8 and 13 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee. If you cancel within 7 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
